Summary
This is a film about Leonardo da Vinci (Brent Carver, Tony Award Winner) who was an Italian Renaissance man of many capabilities and gifts whose areas of interest included invention, painting, sculpting, architecture, science, music, mathematics, engineering, literature, anatomy, geology, astronomy, botany, writing, history, and cartography. The story begins in 1504 when eleven year-old Roberto (David Felton) encounters an anxiety ridden artist in the streets of Milan. This great genius of the Italian Renaissance, Leonardo Da Vinci, is already a highly regarded painter, but his keen mind, acute powers of observation, and his insatiable curiosity lead him restlessly to also unlock the mysteries of nature. Together, in this historical drama, Roberto and Leonardo study winged creatures and turn their dreams to the conquest of the skies. Inspired by Leonardo, Roberto allows his imagination to soar. If others of the earth's creatures can fly, why not man?..This film won "Best Movie"from the Gemini Awards
