Summary
Narrada con esa prosa conmovedora y sincera que la caracteriza, en La búsqueda de un sueño Reyna Grande nos relata cómo persiguió sus sueños para construir lo que siempre había anhelado: un hogar duraderoReyna Grande was nine years old when she crossed the border of Mexico and the United States looking for a home and the reunion with her parents, who had left her in her native land to migrate to Los Angeles in search of a better life. However, what he found was an indifferent mother and an alcoholic and violent father, in a country whose educational system underestimated its roots. Reyna took refuge in words. Her love of reading and writing were her inspiration to get ahead and accomplish what seemed impossible: to be the first person in her family to attend college. But the college experience was intimidating, and she soon found out that she didn't know what it takes to forge a career out of a dream. Narrated with that moving and sincere prose that characterizes her, in The Search for a Dream Reyna Grande tells us how she pursued her dreams to build what she had always longed for: a durable home
